Sacked NPP MP Wins Seat as an Independent Candidate

Andrew Amoako Asiamah, the incumbent MP for the Fomena Constituency who was disqualified from contesting the NPP parliamentary primaries and disavowed by his party in parliament has won the seat as an independent candidate.

He polled 12,805 of the total votes cast to secure victory against the NPP’s Philip Ofori Asante (10,798), the NDC’s Christiana Appiagyei (2,608) and Eric Appiagyei of GUM (158).
